A thank you to Social Entrepreneurs Ireland

I was extremely honoured to be presented with a Level 1 award from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland at a fantastic even held in the newly refurbished Exchange in Dublin on Monday evening. On behalf of Daynuv, it is with great pleasure that I would like to acknowledge the support and time given by Social Entrepreneurs Ireland to me and our projects.

President Mary McAleese has paid tribute to Ireland’s social entrepreneurs, stating that the State needs their “drive, resilience and resourcefulness even more now than ever”.

At the Social Entrepreneurs Awards 2009 in Dublin on Monday 19th October, Mrs McAleese said: “Their ability to be innovative is a powerful force for change and for the confidence that comes from facing into problems and dealing with them effectively.

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland aims to ignite social change by identifying, investing in and supporting Irish social entrepreneurs – individuals who are prepared to take risks by applying their energy, drive, ambition and innovation to tackle some of Ireland’s most entrenched social problems.
